Snuggling a newborn, belly laughs at the perfect joke, savouring a warm embrace – cancer tries to take it all. This must stop.
Alberta is taking cancer and we’re making it ours. Calgary is already a recognized hub for cancer research, treatment and care. That’s nothing compared to what we’re poised to become.
The OWN.CANCER campaign is on a mission to raise $250 million in support of improved research, treatment and care at the Calgary Cancer Centre. This game-changing initiative is backed by three trusted community institutions: the University of Calgary, the Alberta Cancer Foundation, and Alberta Health Services . Together, we are committed to fulfilling the opportunities that lay ahead when the Calgary Cancer Centre opens its doors in 2023 as the largest, most comprehensive cancer centre in Canada. Join the Alberta Cancer Foundation in owning cancer through research, as experts from the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute work side-by-side with patients, clinicians and families to meet the cancer challenge.
The more we own cancer, the less it owns us. What part of the story will you OWN?
